Once upon a time
I was a dusty little boy
Insecure and unsure
I was a musty little boy
The baby of the family
Just a bit annoying
A child of the wind
And I come from Illinois
On the playground
Had no one play round with
Was a class clown
I was bound to
Stay grounded
I wouldn’t stay downr
Always found in
High spirits
No mistake though
I was always drowned
In sin
But yet there is a Shepherd
For the sheep
He looked beyond the crowd
And in my sin He saw me
And He saw I made debt
And then He paid it for me
When I tell you I am free
I gotta give Him glory
That’s why I got my hands up
Cause He told me stand up
Walk through the valley with Him
Follow and He’ll handle
Any opposition
That’ll hinder me from fishing
Per the mission
To preach it to His children
In the world
If it wasn’t for the Lord
I would be another rapper dead
In sins and transgressions
I live with Him instead
He grants me the repentance
He’s faithful to forgive
He’s the God of salvation
It is what it is
Get cha hands up
There’s no way
I would have chose Him
If He hadn’t chose me
Impossible to love Him
If He didn’t love me
When I wasn’t thinking of Him
He’d already known me
And even though I may have felt it
I was never lonely
His Omnipresence is a blessing
Very present for me
Every second
Even in my insurrection
Mercy
From the Lord had been my portion
There’s no sin He don’t see
He knew me at my worst
And still He came for me
And changed me from my core
To my medulla oblongata
Going to the Lord
Is what I do with all my problems
It doesn’t matter if my problems
Be a few or be a lotta
My motto is Hakuna Matata
That’s why I got my hands up
Cause He told me stand up
Walk through the valley with Him
Follow and He’ll handle
Any opposition
That’ll hinder me from fishing
Per the mission
To preach it to His children
In the world
If it wasn’t for the Lord
I would be another rapper dead
In sins and transgressions
I live with Him instead
He grants me the repentance
He’s faithful to forgive
He’s the God of salvation
It is what it is
Get cha hands up
My God is a wonderful God
Let the whole world sing His praise
And no doubt when the Spirit’s poured out
You can know there’ll be a change
That’s why the sin I used to love before
Be the things that I now hate
The Lord has reformed and reshaped
Me for His glory now forevermore
Hands up
Cause He told me stand up
Walk through the valley with Him
Follow and He’ll handle
Any opposition
That’ll hinder me from fishing
Per the mission
To preach it to His children
In the world
If it wasn’t for the Lord
I would be another rapper dead
In sins and transgressions
I live with Him instead
He grants me the repentance
He’s faithful to forgive
He’s the God of salvation
It is what it is
Get cha hands up

Fam, this album was well crafted. From front to back I appreciated the different emotions and looks you gave us.👍🏿 The beat truly goes on for real. The ending of "The Grace" could of been a song on it's own as a doxology of praise. 🙌🏿 The cypher joint was too cold! I wanted more bars though, everybody did their thing though. "It Goes On" was way too short for a party joint my brother. Yo quería más mi hermano, para bailar necesitamos más de dos minutos cuarenta y dos segundos. Ronald Wagogo
The seven tracks on the debut from CRFT are breathtakingly beautiful, blending jazz, ambient music, and soul into a dreamy cohesive whole. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 3, 2022
