That’s an understatement
I’m buckled at the knees

About retaliating
Just to make the statement
Of how we are tired
Of being hated

We should know full well
That we should model the respect

Now we see cities burning
Dreams going up flames
And as the world is turning
Everyday the fight’s the same
We think it’s with the flesh
But nah it’s on a higher plane
A fact that’s either unknown
Or forgotten as we fight for change
Some say the church’s divided
I say that’s wheat and tares
Some folks promoting riots
They say we do not care
But we’re just practicing
The word coming from our Majesty
We’re radically
Repenting of our apathy and depravity
Strengthened by His grace
That’s how we rise against the gravity
Of those who pull us down
And use their lives to do us savagely
The situation’s dim
But for the light we look to Him
We pray His kingdom come
Only then will the madness end
Regeneration will never be legislated
By the unregenerated
We’ll never be never hated
So we step into the call
And work on disciple making
Equip them to preach the gospel
And send them so they can take it
To the lost and downtrodden
Let them know they’re not forgotten
By the God who renews hearts
No matter how rotten
It’s beneficial that He’s sovereign
That means that He’s the King
With all power you can’t stop Him
From letting our freedom ring
Welcome to America
The home of the brave
We’re living in a new era
We’re no longer your slaves
But we have people from both sides
Holding on to their hate
It’s enough to make my soul cry
Because I’m knowing their fate
Could possibly be the one
Where they’re thrown in the lake
And they’ll be burning like my passion
Just to see them saved
So when I pray
I pray the Lord their souls be graced
So when He comes on that great day
Their souls be raised
To fellowship for eternity
With a glorious praise
Unbound by ethnicity
So gone are the days
In which we war
We’ll lay down our shield and swords
Forever students of His peace
As we kneel to the Lord
A single accord
Harmonious like singing a chord
And every evil you can think of
You will think of no more
That’s the reward
For the ones who
Cling to the Lord
So steady the course
Cause Christ took the heaviest force
When He was crushed by the Father for my sins and yours
It’s so amazing how the King who reigns
Would pour
His blood out for restoration
So we shouldn’t be complacent
With our walk as a Christian
With these issues in our nation

You can’t convince me I don’t matter
Don’t you let them fool you into thinking
You don’t matter
Because we bear the image of the God
Who sits on high
He’s the restorer of our hearts
And He hears our cry

I know you got some of issues
On your platter
You feel as if a lot is stacked against you
And it matters
May the Lord be your Shepherd
Who restores your soul
And if you’re broken
May He make you whole
